Nicola Lamon studied composition and organ with Elsa Bolzonello Zoja, Harpsichord with Sergio Vartolo and Marco Vincenzi at “Conservatorio B. Marcello - Venice graduating “cum laude” in 2001. He also studied Gregorian chant with Lanfranco Menga obtaining a with honor diploma. He studied also organ and improvisation with H. Davidsson and W. Porter, with J. L. Gonzalez Uriol in Daroca (Spagna), harpsichors with Cristophe Rousset, at “Accademia Chigiana” in Siena. He was awarded in several national and international music competitions. He researches with particular interest Gregorian chant, organ, liturgy, vocal and basso continuo. Currently he holds the position of organist at the world famous Basilica of San Marco in Venice and has an intense concert activity as organist and harpsichordist collaborating with many ensembles. He’s also member of Ensemble Oktoechos and “Schola Gregoriana di Venezia” both specialized in gregorian chant. He has been teaching at “Conservatorio C. Pollini” - Padova and currently works as accompanist on harpsichord at “Conservatorio Arrigo Pedrollo” - Vicenza and “Conservatorio Agostino Steffani” - Castelfranco Veneto (Treviso). He’s recording the monumental Well-Tempered Clavier of J.S. Bach with Velut Luna label.
